The American Volkssport Association and America’s Walking Club are hosting the Mid-America Walking Weekend in Frankfort! The event is open to everyone and registration is required. This event is hosted by the AVA Clubs of Ohio with the Maumee Valley Volksporters serving as the lead host.

There are 2 starting points for this walk. The first is at 100 Cove Spring Rd. This is at the main entrance to Cove Spring Park and the Hurst Falls location. A 5 km walk is available here. The second is at the Sky Trail / Archery Range on top of the bluff at 100 Cedar Cove Rd. This is a short drive from the first start. A 5 km can be done from this location as well. The whole walk can be done from this second location if hills are difficult for you. There is a 1 km flat, paved course near the archery range, walk it as many times as you wish. An additional 2 km can be achieved if you wish to go to the Cove Spring Wetland area which is between the 2 park locations at a pull-off parking area on the west side of US 127.
Onsite registration will take place from 8 am – 11 am at the shelter adjacent to the parking area at 100 Cove Spring Rd. Online registration can be down through the link above.
All routes for this walk incorporate the existing trails at the park.
