Beginner’s Book Binding Art

July 20 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$10 / $15

Lifelong Learning: Artisans once made books by hand, stamping pages one by one on a printing press and stitching them together before encasing them in a uniquely fitted cover.

We will explore bookbinding by looking through our library stacks. You then will create your own unique journals that put a modern twist on traditional hardcover Coptic stitch books.

For ages 18+, but people ages 13-17 are welcome with an adult.

Cost:  $15 per participant. $10 for KHS members.

Price includes museum admission so come early to explore our exhibits. Prepayment and registration required no later than three days before the class and space is limited. Call 502-782-8118 to register and pay. Workshops begin by checking in at the front desk.

Subject to cancellation based on the number registered.
