Introduction to the Kentucky Heritage Council & Kentucky Main Street Program

In celebration of Frankfort Heritage Week – May 16-22, 2021

Hosted by Kentucky Heritage Council and presented by Executive Director Craig Potts and Site Identification Program Manager and Main Street coordinator Kitty Dougoud. 

Mr. Potts will provide a general overview of the National Historic Preservation Act in Kentucky and the associated tools and resources available to communities like Frankfort to preserve its diverse heritage.

Kitty Dougoud will be discussing Kentucky’s Statewide Main Street program, the oldest of its kind in the nation. Ms. Dougoud will present information related to the benefits of participation and the proven outcomes that communities realize by implementing the Main Street Four Point Approach.
