Kentucky Riverscape Painting Inspired by Paul Sawyier

May 23, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for an afternoon of watercolor painting inspired by Frankfort’s own Paul Sawyier.  Participants will explore our current Paul Sawyier exhibit and go behind the scenes at KHS to view our extensive collection of his works.  Then Canoe Kentucky will take us on a boat ride down the Kentucky River to Riverview Park, where teaching artist Sara Brown will guide us in using watercolor techniques to create our own riverscape paintings.  Beginners welcome!

For ages 18+, but those ages 13-17 are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Instructor: Sara Brown

Cost: $35 per participant; $30 for KHS members; Price includes museum admission; Prepayment required.

Registration and prepayment are required no later than three days before the class and space is limited. Call 502-782-8070 or email [email protected]

Workshops begin by checking in at the front desk of the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History.
