In celebration of Frankfort Heritage Week – May 16-22, 2021
Old Governor’s Mansion Virtual Tour – hosted by Kentucky Division of Historic Properties and presented by Dalaina Bean, Director of Events at Berry Hill Mansion.
The Old Governor’s Mansion serves as the oldest official executive residence still in use in the United States because it is listed as the home of the Lieutenant Governor . While each Lt. Governor is given the opportunity to live in the mansion, it has not been a residence since Lt. Gov. Steve Henry and his wife, Heather French-Henry. Currently, it serves as the offices of the State Curator and Director of the Kentucky Division of Historic Properties, however its history dates back to 1796.
