In celebration of Frankfort Heritage Week – May 16-22, 2021
Hosted by Kentucky Division of Historic Properties and presented by Dalaina Bean, Director of Events at Berry Hill Mansion.
The Vest-Lindsay House, located in downtown’s Corner of Celebrities, now serves as offices for the Kentucky Division of Historic Properties and, after updates, will serve again as a State meeting house. It is recorded as one of the oldest homes in Frankfort. Before it made it into the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s hands in 1965, it had well over a dozen owners, however it is named after two of its most prominent, U.S. Senator George Graham Vest and Thomas Noble Lindsey, former Adjutant General and Inspector General, in charge of all of Kentucky Union Army forces.
