Free public cruise aboard the Kentucky River Thorobred

The Kentucky River Thorobred is a 50-ft floating classroom.

Welcome aboard for a free 75 minute environmental science education cruise!

**You must reserve your tickets via Eventbrite to secure your seat.**

Passengers must arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the cruise for boarding and a safety briefing. Doors close 5 minutes prior to the cruise.

First Friday Speaker Series: In the wake of the Civil War, a former Union soldier and a former Confederate soldier faced off in a duel with pistols, near the Scott-Fayette County line. Their encounter was likely the last formal duel fought in the Commonwealth.Stuart Sanders KHS history advocate, will tell the story of their longstanding conflict and its violent resolution.Cost: $8; KHS members $5. Price includes dessert and coffee from KHS and museum admission―so feel free to explore our exhibits the rest of the day!Bring Your Lunch: Pay at the front desk on event day.Pre-order a Boxed Lunch: Cost is $10 in addition to admission.
