Hot Brown Trail kicks off Derby Week in Downtown Frankfort

Frankfort, KY – The Frankfort / Franklin County Tourist and Convention Commission, Downtown Frankfort, Inc. and the City of Frankfort will kick off Derby Week with the Kentucky Hot Brown Trail. Beginning May 1, and running through May 6, more than 16 local restaurants and shops will be offering Hot Brown themed specials and discounts in celebration of derby week. Participating businesses are offering all kinds of specialties associated with hot browns – appetizers, breakfast items, cocktails and themed merchandise.

-Bourbon on Main: Hot brown egg rolls with mornay dipping sauce

-Broadway Clay: Date night and make a hot brown serving bowl

-Buddy’s Pizza: Hot brown pizza

-Completely Kentucky: Featuring charcuterie boards, mini ceramic bowls to serve hot browns

-Goodwood Brewing: Traditional hot brown featuring homemade bacon jam & Goodwood beer cheese

-Jim’s Seafood & Steaks: Traditional hot brown

-Kentucky CoffeeTree Cafe: Hot Brown Soup

-Locals Food Hub & Pizza Hub: Hot brown pizza featuring a mornay sauce base with Kenny’s mozzarella cheese, hand pulled chicken, cherry tomatoes and crispy bacon

-Limewater: Hot brown with House Roasted Turkey, Black Truffle Mornay, Green Onion Grit Cake, Slow Roasted Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus
