Explore over 200 years of politics, architecture, enterprise, and everyday life in Frankfort. Located across from the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History, the Capital city Museum is in the heart of downtown Frankfort. The museum is handicap accessible and motor coach parking is available next to the museum. Tour on your own. Admission is free.

Capital City Museum also offers free history and nature meet-ups at Leslie W. Morris Park at Fort Hill. Leslie W. Morris Park on Fort Hill, named for the property owner from whom the city of Frankfort acquired the land, offers a historic area around two Civil War forts, the Sullivan House Interpretive Center, and many acres of wilderness forest and meadows right in the middle of Frankfort, Kentucky’s capital city.

Tours are Tuesday-Saturday starting at 10am, 1pm, and 3pm. There is a 5pm tour time available on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Please call Capital City Museum at (502) 696-0607 for more information and to book a tour.
