Events Highlights:
Historic Candy Machine Display: A special highlight on the historic
Rebecca Ruth Candy machine on display at the Capital City Museum. This will be a great opportunity to
showcase the rich history of candy-making, particularly the
significant contributions of Rebecca Ruth Candies. Rebecca Rith will
have sampling of candies from a similar historic machine and possibly a
video. We will have photo booth and door giveaways at the Museum.

Samples by Rebecca Ruth Candies: We are thrilled to have Rebecca Ruth
Candies providing samples throughout the Chocolate Stroll event. their
presence will undoubtedly add a special touch to the Chocolate Stroll
experience.

Retailers will have chocolate samplings and Bars & restaurants will be selling chocolate themed dishes & drinks

Rebecca Ruth Contest: A highlight of the Chocolate Stroll will be the
contest featuring three categories - favorite chocolate drink, entre,
and dessert. We look forward to seeing the creativity and culinary
prowess that will be showcased by the participating establishments.
Rebecca Ruth will provide $100 prize to winners in each contest.

Sam Bush

Sam Bush is an American mandolinist who is considered an originator of progressive bluegrass music. In 2020, he was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame as a member of New Grass Revival. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame a second time in 2023 as a solo artist.

Walking Tour: Before King Came to Town: Resistance to Oppression In KY 1830-1910

Designed to complement the upcoming 60th anniversary of the March on Frankfort, this tour takes you on a journey of resistance and triumph. When we talk about Civil Rights, we tend to think about the time after WWII through the 1960s. However, these struggles have been ongoing since Kentucky’s beginnings. Walking through historic downtown Frankfort and the Old State Capitol, we will recount ways that enslaved and oppressed people fought the injustices they faced during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Join us for this hour-long walking tour that begins and ends at the Old State Capitol, rain or shine.

The tour will take place before the March on Frankfort film screening begins at the Old State Capitol.

60th Anniversary of Martin Luther King’s March on Frankfort
