Basics #62 is part of a series of public art throughout the US. While each sculpture within this series is unique to its site, all are temporary installations in public space, and are made from 2×4 dimensional lumber. So, beyond its formal beauty, the work may ask: What does it mean to live in time? To participate in public space? And to be part of the most basic material culture that surrounds us?
