Departing from Madison and heading up the Ohio River to Carrollton, KY then up the Kentucky River through remote and scenic valleys, deep forests and four historic locks and dams, you will have one of the most unique experiences in our area. Along the way the Captain will share interesting river stories, point out historic areas and stop at a remote river town for a picnic lunch. In Frankfort Kentucky you can stroll through the historic downtown, enjoy live music, local cuisine and browse in unique shops.
After a night’s rest at the Capital Plaza Hotel and a tour of Buffalo Trace Distillery you will head back down the river through the locks and back to the Ohio River, returning to Madison, Indiana. Bald Eagles nest along the way and wildlife abound on the riverbanks.
