Founded in 1886, Kentucky State University is one of the most diverse universities in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As a land-grant institution, part of the university’s mission is to study agricultural, aquaculture and family life issues.

Kentucky State University boasts  an 882-acre campus, which includes a 311-acre agricultural research farm and a 306-acre environmental education center.

Kentucky State University is a public institution with an enrollment of approximately 2,200 students and 135 full-time faculty members.
