Walk through a living butterfly habitat and marvel at some of Kentucky’s most colorful native species — immerse yourself in the pollinator and host plants, water features, interactive stations, and of course, the native butterfly species (including monarchs, swallowtails, viceroys, buckeyes, red admirals, & question marks) that will be released into the sanctuary of the butterfly house throughout the season. come experience the joy of watching them fly, feed, and flutter, up close & personal. they’ll linger & sometimes even land on you as they settle into their new home.
The Lola children’s garden is a further connection to nature, giving adults a place for fresh air, serene surroundings & scenery to promote inner peace, while offering children opportunities to play in a natural setting developed around the concept of “centers” where they are free to wander and playfully learn about the flora & fauna of Kentucky. we invite you to experience & enjoy a place like no other.
The mission is to educate & engage children of all ages about native flora, fauna, and pollinator habitat protection in an inspiring & healthy outdoor space where they are free to explore. The butterfly greenhouse and the Lola children’s garden are public benefit spaces curated to inspire and educate about the conservation of our native flora & fauna.
