Led by Capital City Museum director & host of the award-winning podcast Kentucky Deceased, Eleanor Hasken-Wagner, this tour takes you on a walk through history like you wouldn't believe. Murders, mobs, shoot-outs, and more await you on this tour through time. Frankfort has a hidden, dark past and you'll be taken to the sights that continue to cause fear!

This tour is not appropriate for all ages, nor all guests. The grueling deeds covered in the tour are bloody, dark, and horrific. We recommend all tour guests be a minimum of 15 years old and require that anyone under 18 attend with their parent or guardian.

The Museum doors open at 7:00 pm and the tour begins promptly at 7:30 pm. Should you arrive late, you will be responsible for finding the tour group on their walking path. The tour requires walking and standing. If you have access needs, please let us know during booking so we can ensure we're doing our best to accommodate you. The tour does cover several downtown blocks where there are minimal benches or seating areas.

Should the tour need to be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, you will be notified via Square.

Experience America's oldest continuously running distillery through the lens of legend and lore. Night at the Distillery is an immersive, self-guided experience, where whiskey's storied past meets the mysteries of time. Guests wander from building to building under moonlight, uncovering the legends, folklore, and untold stories that shaped this historic site. Each stop reveals a new layer of truth, part documented history, part enduring mystery, accompanied by carefully curated cocktails and pours that connect you to generations of craft. All guests receive a 1L Sazerac Rye 100 proof bottle, gift bag, and more.

$35 per person. Includes access to the self-guided walking trail, 3 cocktail tastings, 1 neat tasting, and snack box. In addition, all guests will take home a 1L Sazerac Rye 100 proof bottle and Night at the Distillery reusable tote bag.

On Tuesday, November 4th the community is invited to to enjoy an unforgettable evening of performances by professional musicians and local youth at the second annual Just Say Yes Showcase event. Flight simulators, tennis rackets and maybe a few four-legged friends will share the stage with violins, cellos and steel drums for this a vibrant celebration of community, recreation and prevention.

This is a free event with a suggested donation of $25 per ticket to support the Yes Card Program.

Van The Band is the definitive tribute to the iconic music legend Van Morrison.  Enjoy Brown Eyed Girl, Moon dance and many more soulful hits for a night to remember.

With its enchanting setting and spellbinding score, the world’s most popular opera is as timeless as it is heartbreaking. Franco Zeffirelli’s picture-perfect production brings 19th-century Paris to the Met stage as Puccini’s young friends and lovers navigate the joy and struggle of bohemian life. Soprano Juliana Grigoryan is the feeble seamstress Mimì, opposite tenor Freddie De Tommaso as the ardent poet Rodolfo. Keri-Lynn Wilson conducts the November 8 performance, which will be transmitted live from the Met stage to cinemas worldwide.

After nearly a year of restoration and renovation, the Kentucky Military History Museum is reopening its doors! Join us this Veterans Day as we celebrate with a special reopening ceremony and ribbon cutting. Light refreshments will be served followed by a highlights tour of the exhibit.
While you’re here, we invite you to visit the Kentucky History Center one block west and see Our Stories Our Service: Kentucky’s Women Veterans. This powerful exhibit honoring Kentucky’s women veterans will permanently close at the end of November—see it before it’s gone!
