Free public cruise aboard the Kentucky River Thorobred

Paddlepalooza is our way of sending off the 2019 paddling season. It is a gathering of canoers, kayakers and SUP enthusiasts to get on the water and enjoy the beauty of Kentucky and the company of great people. We will have 2 options for paddling for the day. Beginning at 2:00 PM, we will have our first group launching at The River View Park Boat Dock with a guide, paddling down river to Lock and Dam #4, locking though, taking out at the Buffalo Trace Boat Ramp, shuttled to the distillery for a tour of the grounds, then back to the river to lock back through and finish back at the boat ramp. (must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to sign in for this trip)Throughout the entire day we will Canoe/Kayak/SUP rentals open for those looking to relax on their own time and not take part in the above trip. You can find those Under our KY River Rental Tab or select a Self Guided BoatThere will be a food truck onsite during Paddlepalooza and KY River Jam.After paddling, the fun is not over! The final 2019 KY River Jam will be at Ward Oats Amphitheater until 6pm.Food trucks will be available all day selling bar-b-que, burgers, drinks and more. But feel free to bring the lawn chairs, some snacks and drinks and enjoy a day on the water with friends. Rental canoes and kayaks will be made available.
